West Veil Nebula

Sep 13, 2024

This is the western bit of the Veil Nebula also known as C34 or NGC 6995. Obviously there is a Eastern veil nebula found here: https://www.haydench.com/astro/c33

It is found in Cygnus. Besides, one of the biggest nebulae in our sky. It is a supernova remnant from a star which was 20 times bigger than our Sun and exploded about 10000-20000 years ago.
